Hello, my friend! I would love to lend you any help I can give. First, I need to know what direction you are trying to go with your work; meaning, are you trying to self-publish, how far are you into your manuscript, is this your first go round? things like that. Go to the discussion forum and post whatever questions you have. I will be glad to answer them. If there are things you feel insecure about asking in the open discussion (for whatever reason) email me personally. Again, I will do whatever I can to lead you to the right direction.. |

I AM FROM BOSTON AND KNOW THE ACCENT VERY WELL BUT WORRY THAT ON PAPER IT MAY SEEM DIFFICULT FOR THE READER. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Great question! This is one of the things you shoud specify when looking to hire an editor! Make sure they have a clear understanding of this and also, more importantly, when you're settin up your story line in the book, make sure the reader understands this! But yes, please inform the editor of the dialect you're using, whatever the venacular may be. You are so very welcomed!. |

I've got another question: I plan to use words to songs that were out back in the day. Do I need to get permission to do this? I won't be using the entire song just part of it. I plan to use several (parts) of several different songs. Please help!
Thanking you in advance,

Hello. I've just finished a novel entitled "Thoughts Beyond Repair" which is a collection of fiction short stories based upon realistic scenarios and events. I am currently planning to use a Print On Demand service but before I do, is there a better way to become published as an author from the Miss. Delta? Thanks.? |

Traditional publishing is a great vehicle, but you must explore all the pros and cons of both. You can look to a print on demand company, but you can also publish the novel yourself. Basically, your "right choice" depends on the time and energy you have to dedicate to the project, where you intend to go with the project, and your personal finances. If you need me to elaborate on a specific avenue, don't be hesitant to ask! I hope this was helpful!. |
